Hello My American Friends!

Hi there American sisters and brothers! How’s it going?

I hear you have federal election coming up? Hey, us too! Someday we should have a contest to see whose federal elections are more stilted and vapid. We could get Russia in on it too. It’d be fun!

I also hear you crazy Americans have something called a “Constitution” that actually grants you the right to vote for the candidate of your choice! That’s amazing! We have that here too but i find it takes way too much effort to figure stuff out so i usually just go with whoever won last time. It makes me feel like a winner.

People say it’s irresponsible for me to vote for a party whose platform doesn’t reflect my values, but i don’t care. It’s not the right time for me to cast votes based on my values! I need to feel like a winner NOW!

Two worlds Colliding. – Check out this movie 'Two World's Colliding' from the National Film Board Of Canada. This documentary chronicles the story of Darrell Night, a Native man who was dumped by 2 police officers in -20° C temperatures in a barren field on the outskirts of Saskatoon in January 2000. He found shelter at a nearby power station and survived the ordeal, but he was stunned to hear that the frozen body of another Aboriginal man was discovered in the same area.
