Well the summer is offically over. Four days ago I was at the beach and now it is colder than Frosty The Snowman's carrot!
We're about to post the dates for our Ontario/Quebec tour so keep your eyes peeled. The shows are just being finalized right now! My gotchies are on fire with anticipation!!! UK/Ireland shows are being booked as well. We'll be hitting Belfast this time too! That is wicked! who knows where the wind will take us next! I can only dare to dream!
In Canada anybody who has any songs that get played anywhere from college radio(in our case), to the most idiotic romantic movie can sign up and make sure they get any royalties that would be owed to them. A Canadian copyright collectve called SOCAN are the folks who do it. We were contacted about our song "Speculative Fiction" being chosen for their "Echo creative songwriter" contest. After being assured it had absolutely no corporate sponsors or any behind the scenes B.S. We hesitantly agreed. I think the tipper in favor of the contest was the 5 G's we'll get if we win. hahah.....
So despite the fact that voting polls are getting out of hand these days and voting for songs is absolutely pointless. We offer you, our good buddies, the chance to vote for us at this website.
We will be donating a hefty, hefty chunk of cash to either the Haiti Action Network or one of the other community groups we are involved with here in Winnipeg if we should win. You can vote once a day if you want until 4:59 on October 12th/2006. Please help us help ourselves. We owe a lot of bad people a lot of money...hahahh.
