Hot on the heels of being told last week that our lyrics and ideas precluded us from travelling to certain South East Asian countries as a band, came the timely news that Indonesia's pro-corruption, anti-democracy, pro-genocide former President (and friend of Western elites) General Suharto finally kicked the bucket.
Legendary author, journalist and film-maker John Pilger wrote this short summation of Suharto's time on earth and the significance of his legacy to understanding how the world works...which is not exactly a news flash, but sadly seems to bear repeating ad nauseam.
