History Repeats the Cycle of Stupidity
Some 300 British Jews signed a full page newspaper advert condemning Israel's military actions in the Gaza crisis:
I just can't imagine what Israel hopes to accomplish on the world stage with this brutal display of collective punishment currently underway in Gaza and now in Lebanon. Yeah, senseless violence is often a two-way street, but Israel once again opts to drive a massive bulldozer straight down the boulevard and inch closer and closer to permanently securing its place in the history of asshole settler states like Canada and the U.S.
Can that really be what the people of Israel -- a country full of people with ancestors who survived the brutal and senseless Nazi holocaust -- want? To be remembered as oppressors? As tyrants? I just can't believe it's coming true.
