people in vancouver, edmonton, winnipeg, check this shit out!!

hi everyone!!!

if you’re in vancouver, edmonton, or winnipeg over the next week, please consider checking out this documentary film. we had the opportunity to meet kevin last year. he’s a great guy, and his film deserves as much attention as possible. he’ll be on hand to present the film in each city.…please see below!!

A fundraising tour for the Haiti Information Project. Donations requested.

Kevin Pina is an independent journalist and filmmaker who risked his life over the past two years to tell the shocking story of Haiti that the world’s mainstream media covered up, namely the massive human rights violations that occurred following the foreign invasion and coup that removed the elected president Jean-Bertrand Aristide in February 2004. Pina’s riveting documentary film, Haiti: We Must Kill the Bandits”, tells the story of these rights violations by a coup régime backed by the U.S., Canada, France and the United Nations Security Council. The film also describes the heroic struggle of the Haitian people to regain their stolen democracy, a struggle that continues today.

Haiti: We Must Kill the Bandits” can be seen:

Vancouver: Friday Oct 13th 7 PM @ SFU Harbour Centre, Fletcher Room, 515 W. Hastings (one block from Waterfront Skytrain) Edmonton: Monday Oct 16th 6PM @ U of Alberta, Tory Lecture Theatre 2 Edmonton: Tuesday Oct 17th 7PM @ Grant MacEwan College, Room 6 – 241 Winnipeg: Wednesday Oct 18th 7PM @ U of Winnipeg, Bulman Center ******************************* Human rights catastrophe in Haiti during foreign rule In September 2006, the prestigious British medical journal The Lancet published a study revealing that in the capital city Port au Prince alone, an estimated 8,000 people were killed and 35,000 women were victims of sexual assault in the two years following the 2004 coup in Haiti. ********************************

Hello,

A quick one today before I head out into the newly fallen snow. It was acidentally posted on the internet that we were playing in Edinburgh England”, or something. This of couse was followed by a hail of emails and tears by offended punks. haha.. Don’t worry, everyone, we know Edinburgh is in Ireland not England. ha. This oversight was most likely a mistake of someone typing to fast somewhere. That list of shows went from hand to hand as cut and pastes and then ended up on our site! Also, please understand that if we don’t play in your city or town it is not because we have something against you. We would love to play everywhere but only have so many days of life to live. Thanks a lot! I hope we’ll see you in a town near you!… Sorry to offend anybody. Take care. Prepare your designated homelands to be devastated in December!!!!!!!!

Reanimated!

A little post here to let you know that pracitice is going great. We taped ourselves today and we are heading directly towards our goals! One thing for sure is that Beave is a great addition to the band. We’ve never sounded better. The sound is way fuller, the vibe is exciting! I can’t wait to play the shows. My leg is still screwed and the nerves are still all disconnected from the last bloody show we played. and that was 10 months ago with only one guitar! Only two weeks til our first show in thunder Bay! ‑Rod.

REANIMATED.......

Here I sit in my basement on Tuesday night at 3:09 AM.

We, True and relentless Thrashers, are back from our voyage. Me, Hannah and the snoring necrofecalizerknown as Mike A.(check out putrescence.com to see the specimen) spanned 5000 kilometers, stood on an overcrowded bus between two cities, caught every subway and bus know to humans, and spent every last little red cent we own to see Nomeanso, Sacrifice, Celtic Frost, Misery Index(twice), 5 other good bands, three decent ones and 2 crappy ones.

Me and Hannah were front row for the grandest display of thrash metal to be witnessed in the last 17 years. SACRIFICE brought the goods and destroyed 700 headbangers at Torontos’ Opera House.” They are still the greatest!!! The REAL kings of thrash. Let no one tell you otherwise. Ever!!!!! To witness them once again was absolutely unreal.. I had always thought that the first time I saw them was one of the best days of my life. Now as an adult that thought is confirmed. They have now been responsible for the top two days.

And so, with our broken necks and brains bareley hanging onto their stems we crossed the icy plains to witness Switzerlands Mighty Celtic Frost!! Once again we were front row thrashing our heads off. They were awesome! the only thing they had going against them was that we had just seen the greatest show of all time. We went crazy. the highlights were Circle Of The Tyrants”, the Usurper” and the ripping, thrashing, stupendous Into Crypts Of Rays!!”

And finally tonight, we went to see Misery Index who, despite coming after three days of Nomeansno, Celtic Frost, and Sacrifice, managed to pull us to the front of the house to throw our fists up in disbelief at their amazing drummer, great songs and dense, wicked grind-metal.

I will not scold or scoff and the dismal fools who missed such ripping tunes. And I will refrain from hunting down and beating to death anyone over the age of 9 that went to Bad Religion instead of Celtic Frost. I will just say to the world that thrashers are all we have ever been and all I will ever be as long as I live. I have no other good reason to live. I need no other reason. When Propagandhi comes to your town beware that we are inspired and our hearts pump with excitement for the day that comes when it is our turn to attempt to make the heads bang. and right now, way more than before, we feel like we have the ability to deliver!!

There is no way to explain what has happened to us this weekend. All’s I can say is that the world of music is still devasting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the best days are right now!!!

Concealment of intention, arcane faces of stone.

Hello!

Hannah and I take off on a metallic journey tommorrow. We leave all behind only to return when the Frost comes within Winnipeg city limits. If we have no shirts for our eastern Canadian tour, please forgive us. We had to stop in midesign stage to begin our perennial quest. If you feel it in your blood you will know where we are going. The aoeons will collide for just one day. If your bones feel the mighty chill then gather up your belongings and follow your heart. We will be gathered.

I would like to send out our very best wishes to Beaves brother, and our good, good buddy, Paul who is struggling through very hard times in this world. All will be o.k., Paul-man. We are thinking about you a lot.

Ontario and Quebec Tour dates set!!!

Yes, that is all! After you read the last few updates go check out the tour dates page on the site to see if we’re visiting your town!

To understand that I am a true nerd I will have you know that that little cartoon Beave posted of himself is from a comic called Space Beaver” that came out in early 80’s. I bought that when it hit the market thinking that someday it would be worth a fortune. If only I’d have known that someday I’d be in a band with him!! I was touched by his loving statement, We get along pretty good” hahah.….

o.k. see ya out east!
