Sorry!

Hey, Israeli president Olmert called Prime Minister Stephen Harper to say sorry” about killing Canadians in Lebanon. So now it’s all good!

Geez, why didn’t Hezbollah think of that: just phone old Ehud and apologize for firing rockets into Haifa?! Why didn’t Al Qaeda think of that?! Hey, sorry about those towers America!” Why didn’t Jeffrey Dahmer think of that??? Why didn’t everybody who ever murdered somebody think of that????

I’m losing my mind, losing my mind, losing my mind.

Sudan Event

Hello, Everybody!

I know Gland just posted an update as well and I don’t mean to take away from that so please check out his update right after mine.

I would like to announce something that’s happening in Winnipeg this Sunday. To bring attention to the insane crisis in Sudan ( a Country in Africa, for the young, or those who for one reason or another have not heard of it) there is a very interesting event happening. The the event will include speakers such as Christian Butera, who is a survivor of the Rwandan genocide, Michael Muyen, who is one of the Lost Boys of Sudan”, and a couple others. there will be a multimedia presentation, a question and answer panel and will offer tools so you can help out.

It will be held Sunday, Jul 23rd at 730pm at 123 Matheson Ave, off of North Main.

As you may know, rebel groups in Darfur ( a region of Sudan) began an insurgency against the Sudanese goverment in 2003 seeking greater representation in government. The Arab government responded with a brutal genocide campaign, launching the janjaweed militias on a policy of rape, murder, mutilation and enslavement of the African populace. Despite US recognition of the Sudanese governments action as genocide, and UN attempts at diplomatic intervention, the situation continues to worsen. To date 400,000 people have died and 2.5 million driven into homelessness. It is imperative that the international community pursue a number of activities to let those responsible know that the we are watching, care, and are acting. As things go crazy in the Middle East right now we cannot let ourselves forget about the other conflicts of the world such as Sudan or the Congo (A war which has killed 4 MILLION people!!) now is the time to open our eyes further and put ourselves to do more in this world. We at Propagandhi headquarters are pledging to step up our little campaign to do what we can. We urge all bands and citizens to please do the same. I would also like to mention that The Central Park Market will be happening again this weekend in Winnipegs Central Park from 10:00 to 3:00 this Saturday and every other Saturday until the weather deletes us off the face of the earth.. It will be alot of fun again. Now there’s a market where anything can happen!! This world is very sad but it is also as good as it is sad. You can spend your time wallowing in your pity or get out there and do something good. I will repeat one more time that there is much, much more fun in going hard doing what you can in this world than buying a bunch of crap, or withering away pretending you’re partying. Despite my night ending in shock and more disbelief while watching the news, I did my best out there and I had one heck of a good day. See ya all. ‑The Rod. O.K. Read Hairolds Post now.……

WE ARE BUT OLD MEN

I couldn’t find this story on CNN, CBC or BBC, but Aljazeera is reporting that former Chilean dicatator Augusto Pinochet has been stripped of his immunity and will face charges (30 years too late) relating to his US-backed overthrow of democratically elected president Salvador Allende in 1973. So there’s a bit of good news for you. Hopefully Henry Kissinger, who still gets trotted out on CNN as some sort of paragon of the free world will go down with Pinochet’s ship.

Israeli Military Murders 8 Canadian Civilians...oh well!

Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle!

It’s funny, just the other day I sent a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s office to ask him why he would go on international television and congratulate Israel on their measured self-defense” vis a vis the bombing of Lebanon, and received no reply (the same with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs…i guess they’re too busy creating pretexts for killing more Arabs and grabbing more land to send me an email?).

I wonder what that hapless slave-to-the-Israeli-extremist-lobby douche-bag Harper is thinking now? Probably trying to look on the bright side and assume those 8 recently-alive Canadians voted Liberal? He should ask the douche-bags who organize Warped Tour if he can host an Extreme Douchebag contest on the Canadian dates. The winner gets a booth next to the Nerf⢠pavillion.

Won’t somebody with a firearms permit please rid us of this sexless, bad-breathed, chronically masturbating, geopolitical lap-dog already? (oh, hahaha…another remark clearly made for entertainment purposes only about assassinating politicians! how droll!)

Aggression Under False Pretenses

Far be from me to distract from Todd’s very serious and important campaign (see below) to save Duck Mountain from Jord’s flatulence, but i came across an article by the Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority that i think every person in North America should give serious consideration to immediately:

READ THE ARTICLE

Shit is getting way out of hand. Free Palestine. (and…uh, ahem…duck…mountain?)

Urgent Protest! Please Read!!

I have recieved word about a huge, huge protest out in Duck Lake, Manitoba. Tommorrow July 14th an emergency protest, possibly the largest mass gathering in the provinces history, has been called. Dire circumstances have lead every species of animal within 500 kilometers of Duck Lake to get together and demand the Government of Manitoba to Not let Jord Gas’ Samolesky go camping at Duck Lake where he will ineveitably spill his ecosystem destroying, ozone depleting, fur rotting, beaver-tooth decaying, bird-beak wilting, fart dispenser.” This message was delivered to me by a crying squirrel. If you could have seen the look in her eyes your heart would have broken into little pieces. They urge immediate attention from the outside world: You can contact the Canadian Prime Minister at.. pm@pm.gc.ca Manitoba Conservation, Wildlife and ecosystem control branch… livingworld@gov.mb.ca Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society NoJord@cpaws.org Ducks Unlimited (for now!) History Repeats the Cycle of Stupidity

Some 300 British Jews signed a full page newspaper advert condemning Israel’s military actions in the Gaza crisis:

The story is here.

I just can’t imagine what Israel hopes to accomplish on the world stage with this brutal display of collective punishment currently underway in Gaza and now in Lebanon. Yeah, senseless violence is often a two-way street, but Israel once again opts to drive a massive bulldozer straight down the boulevard and inch closer and closer to permanently securing its place in the history of asshole settler states like Canada and the U.S.

Can that really be what the people of Israel — a country full of people with ancestors who survived the brutal and senseless Nazi holocaust — want? To be remembered as oppressors? As tyrants? I just can’t believe it’s coming true.

Nuero Link Dementing....

Hello, inhabitants of Morgoth.

It’s unanimous! The new Voivod video D‑V-O‑D is truly amazing! That’s what it’s about, creativity, individuality and total thrashing. They are genius’. Their new record Katorz” will be on the way soon. Here is a word on it from Voivod drummer, Away:

Snake thought that it was time to become more direct again. The world is fucked up, it might be even too late to safe our planet from going down so the lyrics are more political and direct in order to wake everybody up again.”

No kidding. They always have great lyrics. Check out their last record. They were the first and only headbangers in the 80’s to sing about animal abuse, and vivisection in the song Ravenous Medicine”. This time the Voivod ended up as the tortured experiment. What a truly awesome tune.

Jord survived another weekend in Portage La Prairie without getting beaten to a stinky, stinking pulp despite lipping off security as he was being warned of impending arrest at his high school class reunion. haha.. Snord will not live to see 40 by the sounds of it. His last incident consisted being chased around a car a hundred times by an irate partier after said partier thought Jord and his friend scuffed the guys car while taking tasteful (yeah, tastes like shit!) nude photos of Jord on the hood of the car.

The first Central Park market went great. Lots of good times. Two pulled groins (Mine and Hairies) and great sound blasting from the sound system. This sucker is going to grow into an international firestorm.

Boy, am I sick of violence. Violence here, violence there. My friend Maurcio Perreira was shot and killed two weeks ago. It’s made me feel very sad. May he R.I.P.

And finally, my real reason for posting this lovely evening…

Check out these websites with some good information pertaining to the humanitarian mega crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan. Please, take a look.

July is coming!!

Hello, Everybody! I’ve got a few little things to say today. So let’s get right down to business, eh? First of all, There are some very exciting things going on here in the Propagandhi camp right now. We’re gearing up to come busting out ten times better than before. We’re very excited and have some suprises in store for you, our good buddies. More on that soon. If You are a Winnipegger or are Visiting for sweet summer fun this weekend, come on down to Central Park (a couple blocks north of Portage Place, downtown) between 10:00am and 7:00pm and check out a new market that is getting going. There will be women selling African dresses and homemade fabrics. Earth Share will have an organic vegetable market with produce farmed here in Manitoba. There will be dancers from Mexico (with Propagandhis’ own Hairy” Hannah making a valiant attempt at doing the sound. There will be a band playing and there will also be many more tables with people from all over the world selling handcrafted items that they’ve made. The goal is to make Central Park the place to be this summer! Oh, it will be!!! This partè will be happening every Saturday this summer from 10:00 to 3:00. It’s being put on by The Welcome Place, Earthshare, and the International Center of Winnipeg. See ya there!!! Some interesting news today: Joseph Kony, the leader of Ugandas’ feared, Lords’ Resistance Army” has decided that he’s had enough of kidnapping kids, mutilating civillians, and raping little girls. Guided by the voice of God he’s been trying in the least noble of ways to rule Uganda by the ultra-nerdlike texts,“The Ten Commandments”. Kony now wants to talk with he Ugandan government about peace. I do truly hope The LRA is finally coming to an end and that Kony will be headed towards justice of some kind. However, as Jord/Glen wrote You can’t gouge a thousand eye’s from a single head”. In some strange Manitoban Black Metal” news: The poor headbanger Né’er Do Wells have been sentenced for burning down a church in Minnedosa.the Blackened trio were copycatting Count Grishnak” from that not good band Burzum who smartly committed the same crime in Sweden to gain the attention his talent wasn’t getting him.. Oh kids, kids, kids why must you learn the hard way.? I shudder when I think of how I probably narrowly escaped the same fate. Lucky I was too busy in my room trying to figure out how to play a Goddamn guitar to engage in such foolery. These kids will get out of jail, or wherever, and if they are not ruined by the experience, they will make fine headbanging citizens. keeps your eyes peeled in 13 months. haha… no laugh. And finally. Dio is the King, He’s my Mother and my Father and even if/as(?) his voice deteriorates in his old age i will stand proud. o.k. That’s it! Remember: Only society says a halfhead is undesirable. That’s the kind of day it’s been this Wednesday, June 28th” ‑Sto
