Weirdo...

hi. i’d just like to point out that human methane-dispenser Todd Kowalski just posted info about Jord’s Haiti event that i posted 4 days ago. Jord suggests that Todd has been huffing his own farts and is really, really high right now and doesn’t know what’s going on.

Also Jordy Boy Horkoff and the Canadian Haiti Action Network are helping to bring former Haitian Minister and Political Rights activist Patrick Elie to speak at the U of W on the 27th and 28th. Here are some details of that!

Date and Time: Monday, March 27, 2006 Location: University of Winnipeg, Room 1L12, 545 Portage Ave., Winnipeg; MB @ 7pm Featuring Patrick Elie, former Haitian Cabinet Minister Admission:Free (donations accepted) Patrick Elie, a Haiti-based political rights activist and former Minister of the first government of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide (199196), willbe in Winnipeg from March 27th to 28th, 2006, as part of a Canada-wide speaking tour. His main speaking event in Winnipeg will be at the University of Winnipeg, room 1L12, at 7 pm on March 27th 2006. In an interview upon arriving in Canada, Elie described the purpose of his speaking tour: Haiti’s history and its social and political realities are systematically misrepresented in much of the mainstream press and by the majority of politicians and so-called experts,” he said. The objective of this speaking tour is to deploy a people-to-people diplomacy and to cut through the web of lies and half-truths. If Canadians are correctly informed about Haiti, it will be more difficult for the government of Canada to engage in policies that constitute a violation of Haiti’s hard won sovereignty and of the will of the Haitian people.” Since February 2004, the social and human rights situation in Haiti has been disastrous. A series of high-profile reports and commentaries, including from the United Nations own spokespeople for human rights, indicate that conditions in Haiti are catastrophic” (UN official) and getting worse. Canada is a major player in the coup and its aftermath. The Winnipeg portion of Patrick Elie’s tour is being organized by Winnipeg-CHAN (Canada Haiti Action Network) a local activist group which formed to give attention to Canada’s intervention in Haiti. In addition to the main event, student groups are endorsing a Monday afternoon event at the Fireside Lounge at the University of Manitoba Student Union building at 2 pm and Tuesday afternoon at the University of Winnipeg, room 1L12 at 4pm. The six-week tour begins in Montréal in mid-February and visit 18 cities. It is sponsored by the Canada Haiti Action Network. Patrick Elie is available for media interviews. He is fluent in English, French and Creole. To arrange an interview while he is in Winnipeg, please contact Jord @ 783‑I LOVE BEANS. Jord promises not to leave stinkys in room 1L12.

Hello, Scrotes!

How’s it going today? Good, good.

We got the test pressings of our Potemkin City Limits” double LPs a couple days ago. I think they are really cool. The art looks great. Musicwise I like the fact that there is concentrated blasts of thrash before you have to flip the record over, as opposed to a CD that keeps on ticking and I like the sound of the songs on vinyl. It sounds darker and dismaler..hah.. If you have interest in this Omniverous Beast or if you have jagged the CD off the net and feel like maybe we deserve a few nickels of your hard earned/Mommy-given-allowance money then check it out!!!! This one is on G7 exclusively (with thanks to Fat for going along with the plan). Check out g7welcomingcommittee.com for details.

Here is what G7 has to say about this Jord fart:

We won’t pretend to understand it, but the people have spoken, and they have said: Give us petroleum slabs.” So without further ado, we present a limited vinyl pressing of PROPAGANDHI’s latest (master?)piece Potemkin City Limits. Double-vinyl. Gatefold. All paper 100% recycled. Stuffed with goodies. Out April 25th. The first 500 copies sold through our website will come on green and white vinyl — but you can’t order quite yet. Relax, weâll tell you when you can.

Well, I am healing from my knee injury just in time to nearly break my back which is fine because it takes away from the pain of my shoulder which is out of the socket.

Propagandhi drummer Jordy Boy Horkoff did a great job in his role as the presenter” at the Haiti film festival. That boy is a natural public speaker! Good job, Snord!

On this months listening list is Razor Violent Restitution” as always, and Death Human.” Man those records rule. Also check out Fates Warning live in Greece for an amazing, amazing video.

I was teaching this kid how to play some metal on his guitar. His definition of a poser is simply punks”. You see what MTV and poser punks have done to punk? Oh yes. It’s true. I can’t disagree with th’ boy. O” you may say But, Nadmaster, there are so many, many posers in metal too.” And I would have to say Yes you too are correct, that is why I am disappearing into my vortex for a final sleep.”

And that is all. Give me a bed of stinky marshmallows to wiggle upon and call it an evening, eh?

Sya!!!

Peltier

My buddy B‑dawg reminded me that February 6th was the 30th anniversary of Leonard Peltier being extradited from Canada to face a sham trial in the United States.

Shame.

Hello, Poople! Happy New Year!!!!

It is a nice day outside there today! I’ve got a few little things to report today. First I’ll hand you this little quote …

In what to most Pakistanis will be a shocking revelation of the degree of sympathy which even the most horrifying of natural calamities can raise among western audiences, a poll of 27 mainly western countries shows that people felt that the October 8 earthquake in Pakistan, which killed more then 80,000 people and left more than three and a half million homeless, ranked only at number 8 in people’s assessment of the most important events of the year 2005.”

Yes, The death of Pope John Paul the Toiletfart was 4th on the list. No suprise.

Starlight TourI’d like to recommend the movie Crash”. I thought it was great. Growing up around so much extreme racism this show really hits home for me. It was really well done and should be easy for anyone to find around their local video shops. Ludicris” is my new favorite actor. Haha … nay quite. I’d also like to recommend the book Starlight Tour” by Susan Reber and Robert Renaud. It is a brand new book about the murder of Neil Stonechild. He is the young man that the song Bringer Of Greater Things” on our new record was sadly inspired by. I’m very glad this book came out. When I went to my aunt’s house she was reading it and was pretty pissed off. That’s the way it should be when a kid is murdered by the cops in a city. The whole city should be going crazy. The cops shouldn’t be able to just slink off into the night like dick-all happened. Check it out…

And finally, for the hell of it here are some bloody photos of my traumatized injury from our last show. I can at least walk a little bit now, two weeks later. Yowch sucka that hurt. Haha … Take care! Have a good ern.

The Rod / January 2, 2006

Hello, Elves and Sugarplums!

I hope everyone is doing good this holiday stinkerson.

I am doing fine despite having to nurse a whole bunch of stitches in my leg from our Winnipeg thrashathon on Friday. I think I had a little too much zeal saved up for that show. I was sick for 3 days straight and was lying in bed feeling sorry for myself to make sure I could give er at when it came time to rock. It worked but I ran myself up the side of a speaker and crashed into my amp gouging the bloody Christ Child right out of my leg. So that night, despite still being sick, Kenton from Fight the Monster and I sat in the Grace Hospital until 6:00 am waiting for me to get stitched up. not bad 2 stitches inside and 8 or 9 outside. I can’t tell if the last blob is a stitch or blob-stink. haha. Anyway it felt like somebody sliced me with a knife and then took a hammer and gave me a charley horse in the cut! The show raised 3 or 4000 bucks for Sisters of Spirit and was a lot of fun despite the torture of my shorts rim” dragging along my gaping wound for 30 minutes straight. Yowch! At the end of the night our soundperson Happy Chappy, who is 43 by the way, realized he only had one leg in his underwear and the rest was hanging out of the belt of his pants. hmmm.. I’m not sure how that happens? Oh well!

The tour went well despite us actually having to be in the States. ha. I had a good time. There were some highlights that stood out for me. The most obvious being the tug of war/burning/tearing of the flag between battling parties and our sponsor/mascot Shitty Mcshake”. Now a flag battle is one thing but beating a poor milkshake is unnecessary! Poor Shitty also realized how cruel the crowd could be when, on another evening, he decided to stage dive into the crowd and realized the crowd was an underwear hungry ravenous mass. Poor Shitty suddenly had two straws showing instead of just the one, if you know what I’m saying. At least next show Shitty showed up ready for the crowd wearing no underwear so he could not be de-gotched. A very smart man. As he said- It wasn’t a very dignified experience, but it sure was funny!” Too true. That is my final conclusion to my experiences in almost everything, to tell you the truth.

Anyway We gave our best at the shows. Many times I felt the beast rise in my heart, connecting me to the tunes. To tell the absolute truth, the first tour back for us is always a little less tight than we’d like, but what the hell. We were there to bring it!!

The highlights show-wise for me were Sacramento because I was really feeling it, L.A. even thought Jordy was cramping and Chris/Glenbert was sick, and Phoenix (until my basses both broke and left me singing a regret-it-as-soon-as-it-starts version of Rocking In The Free World” and slinking away like a stinkerman into the night.)

At the end of the show when I heard a child’s voice singing a tear came to my eye knowing there was at least partially a job well done. The child sang… I went to a show and saw a milkshake and fries-The milkshake did a flip I got a penis in the eyes.” hahah.… True story.

farewell, Everygoof… Be good, Santa comes and baby Jesus gets borned in a few days then there will be piece on earth and good will to men. I hope to get a Lego castle and a Barbie to go with my G.I. Joe doll. He just got back from Operation Iraqi Freedom and is now ready to get married and settle into civilian life. Please make sure I get a brush with her. I like combing her hair.

Look at Frosty Go! Crumpety-crump-crump.…
